I’m convinced that people who complain about Skyward Sword’s controls are simply suffering from a skill issue. I’m glad they made the motion controls optional in the rerelease but it really wasn’t bad on the Wii. ALSO GOATED OST BEST IN SERIES 🔥🔥🔥

for me 3d land and 3d world doesn't feel like 3d Mario because you only can controll mario in 8 directions instead of all the other games where you can move in 360 degrees

While this was not the first Mario game I ever played (that was NSMBDS), it was the first one I got. Christmas 2011, I still remember the excitement and popping this in and getting through worlds 1 and 2. In fact, I still have that save file from 2011. I played it for so much I even wrote a guide to myself on how to beat 8-1 (probably my favorite level in the entire game). Then from 2016 until last year I didn't touch my 3ds. Only last year I managed to find it and 100% that save file (I had left off at S5 castle). Then I started a new save file and somehow managed to 100% it in like 2 days. While it's true that this game is not that memorable, if you play it at a young age for a certain amount of time you are gonna remember it. I was like 7 years old when I got it, now I'm 20. Also, one way of having the linearity of the worlds make sense was for me to think "Bowser put all of these levels there just to give me a challenge"

Diabolical Box was the first video game I ever owned with my DS being the first console I ever owned, and I got stuck at the dog sliding puzzle as a kid, and never saw the other towns (a common problem for me as a kid). But when I came back to the game as a teenager, holy moly it was so good. Also Mystery Case Files: Millionheir is actually a decent hidden object game with a varying plot line, would recommend

No way dude, hardest part of zelda 2 was far and away doom mountain, trying to get through that shit with no walkthrough, zero resources thanks to being at the very beginning of the game and not a savestate in sight is possibly one of the hardest things i've done in any game, NES or otherwise
